Sehriyar Cem
Born in 1979, Sehriyar Cem Studied sculpture at the Marmara University Faculty of Fine Arts; concentrating on metal welding and stone carving.

He also studied at The Art Students League of New York between the years 2003 and 2005. During this period he worked with artists Bruce Dorfman, Charles Hinman, Larry Poons, Richard Pantell and Michael Burban on painting, mixed media, printmaking and drawing.

Sehriyar Cem has been living and working in Istanbul since the end of 2005. Held solo and group exhibitions in Ankara, Istanbul and New York; and has works in Yeditepe University’s Art collection as well as several other private collections.

The artist mostly produces abstract expressionist paintings using acrylic and oil paint. Recently his media choice for his sculptures is metal; but wood, fabric, and other materials can also be seen as materials.
