Hülya Pontais

Hülya Pontais was born on September 5th, 1949 in Fethiye, Mugla, Turkey. In 1969, after completing the Academy of Applied Arts in Istanbul, she moved to Paris to further her education at Paris Fine Arts Academy. Pontais' post graduate studies at the academy focused on painting, sculpture & drawing. In the meantime, she persued her particular interest in Indian Art at Ecole du Louvre. Her spouse's various posts followed, thus giving her the opportunity to continue her work in different cities. She worked with various masters; amongst them Chapelain Midi, Robert Savary, Francois Lasgi, M. Denis & Albert Malet. With the guidance & help of Malet, she discovered the "Post-Impressionism" light on the shores of Normandy. 
Hülya Pontais continues working on art, both in Istanbul, Turkey & France.
